Something Extra

This is our final week for the Spring/Summer portion of our 2026 CSA. In two weeks, we will commence the Fall portion and begin seeing some leafy greens and quick roots coming back, which pair so well with the summer staples that still have a lot to give. Over the past two days there have been cooler nighttime temperatures and a bit less heat and humidity. We are looking forward to the less intense weather as the fall veggies need it to thrive and adjust to being planted out in the field. Over the past two weeks we have gotten a lot of Fall crops going in the ground and they want the cooler nights, airflow from windy conditions and less constant humidity; which creates perfect conditions for disease on plants. Our Summer crops usually see an uptick in flowering and fruit growth this time of year, especially with hot chilis and eggplants.  So it is a win-win once the late Summer weather sets in. We thank you all for joining us this season and hope you have cooked many delicious and nourishing meals with our food. Check out the recipes below and enjoy the share…..Brian & Autumn
