Winter Chicory Farm Dinner – Sub Rosa Bakery – SOLD OUT
Sunday January 27th 2019, 6:30pm, $75 with wine

Join us for a Winter feast exploring the Tomten Farm bounty and diversity that is made all the better by cold winter nights and low light days. The inspiration for the meal is delicious bitter chicories including escarole, frisee, grumolo, sugarloaf, and a diversity of radicchios from soft, tender, and sweet to firm, succulent, and sharp. Served family style in a intimate cozy setting, the menu looks to Italian cuisine and its love for the bitter to shape this 6 course meal paired with wines from Richmond’s Native Selections. This Tomten Farm supper will be held at the cozy Sub Rosa Bakery, using the wood burning oven as a staple in the meal’s construction. Tickets are $75 per person with wine included. Fried Chicken Sunday Supper – SOLD OUT
Sunday October 8th 2017, 3pm, $45

Join us for a Sunday supper paying homage to the southern farm kitchen with inspiration from Edna Lewis, Scott Peacock and Sean Brock. Set outside amongst our crop fields and overlooking our pastures we will begin with a cocktail and snack and short farm tour, followed by a decadent supper of fried chicken with loads of sides using the farms diversity of produce, and finishing under the cool fall evening sky with coffee and pie. Reservations are $45 per person and BYOB is encouraged.

A Indian Farm Dinner
Sunday October 23rd 2016, 3pm, $60

Join us for a Sunday meal inspired by Julie Sahni’s Classic Indian Cooking. Set outside amongst our crop fields and overlooking our pastures we will share a family style meal under the cool fall evening sky. Using the farms diversity of produce, this multi course family style dinner will focus heavily on vegetables with accents of Tomten poultry. Not for the faint of heart, the menu will include some very spicy dishes, reflecting both of our experiences with traditional and nontraditional Indian cuisine.  Reservations are $60 per person which includes a multi-course meal, pre-dinner cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverages. Birdhouse Benefit Dinner – Sub Rosa Bakery
Sunday July 10th 2016, 6pm

Join us in supporting the Birdhouse Farmers Market by coming together for a multi-course family style summer meal designed around the market’s diverse seasonal offerings. A collaborative meal conceived and prepared by a group of local food makers: Evrim Dogu & Evin Dogu (Sub Rosa Bakery), Autumn Campbell & Brian Garretson (Tomten Farm Suppers), and Paul Winston (Dutch & Co.), this is an experience not to be missed. 
 Tickets are $100 per person including drinks and gratuity. Donations over ticket price are welcome. Seating will be located  in the bakery and outdoors on the patio. All proceeds will benefit the Birdhouse Farmers Market!

LA COMIDA DE UN CAMPESINO (A Farmer’s Dinner) – September 20th 2015, 3pm

Join us for La Comida de un Campesino, where we will celebrate Latin American food traditions and our passion for corn, chiles, chicken, pork, and all things seasonal. This multi course family style meal will take place outside amongst our crop fields and small orchard on Sunday September 20th 2015 at 3pm. Reservations are $60 per person which includes a multi-course meal, pre-dinner cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverages. BYOB is encouraged.
We are pleased to be partnering with Deer Run Farm of Amelia, who raise the exceptional tasting and thoughtfully raised grass-fed beef and forest raised pork that we will be using for the event. Farmers Robert and Ruth Ann Hutchinson will be present to talk about their farming methods as well as to enjoy the meal.  As with all our other Farm dinners, we will be making the food you eat, focused on a seasonal local menu that partners with as many local producers as possible. TOMTEN SUNDAY BRUNCH – April 19th 2015, Noon, $45 – SOLD OUT

brunch_March2015Please join us at Tomten Farm for a delightful three course family style brunch that will highlight all that Spring has to offer through both traditional American and French dishes. On April 19th we will gather for a lovely, relaxed all inclusive dining experience. The menu will focus on our produce, poultry, and abundance of spring eggs. What better time of year to visit your favorite local farm, see the crops you will enjoy all season actually growing, taste some of them till you are overly satiated, and enjoy a leisurely pastoral afternoon in the country. SOUTHEAST ASIAN SUNDAY SUPPER – October 5th 2014, 3pm – SOLD OUT

A Southeast Asian inspired family style supper using Tomten Farm produce and poultry made lovingly by us the farmers.
The supper will be held on Tomten Farm in Green Bay Virginia. Arrive at 3pm, enjoy a drink, take a short farm tour and then settle in to a tantalizing meal. TOMTEN FARM / SUB ROSA SUNDAY SUPPER – Sept 7th 2014

 This farm dinner will be served family style on Sunday September 7th at Tomten Farm in Green Bay, Virginia approximately 80 minutes from Richmond. Guests arrive at 3pm for drinks and a introduction to the farm followed by a multi-course set menu served outside among the apple trees overlooking crop fields and pastures.
The event is $45 per person not including drinks. A culinary collaboration between Richmond’s Sub Rosa Bakery and Tomten Farm, the menu will be influenced by Southern Turkish and Syrian Cuisine and will highlight all the bounty of Virginia in Summer.
