We raise pastured Red Ranger chickens. The breed is derived from a genetic stock of heritage breed chickens from Europe and North America in the 1960’s as an alternative to the more industrial Cornish Rock Cross. As opposed to the Cornish Cross the Red Ranger Chicken is more adapted to living it’s life out on pasture. Our chickens love spending their days scratching in the dirt, chasing bugs and eating the occasional over-ripe tomato. We provide a feed for them that is non-medicated and GMO free. Because of their genetic heritage, the Red Ranger is both slower growing and very active, giving it meat a more succulent and natural flavor.
